Scope of Work

Erosion mitigation and protect critical wastewater infrastructure, facilities, and assets at South Ocean Beach in San Francisco. To accomplish this, this three year contract will selectively relocate sand from North Ocean Beach, transport along the Great Highway and strategically place sand and erosion mitigation measures annually at South Ocean Beach, San Francisco, California.

Cultural Relevance

The project offers smart, multi benefit improvements modern trails, habitat restoration, and essential infrastructure protection. Yet it remains a balancing act, with surfing locals, environmental watchdogs, and budget conscious critics urging more nature based strategies or even infrastructure retreat inland. Its success will hinge on adaptive management, ongoing community engagement, and rigorous monitoring to ensure the beach and its people stay resilient.
